Anyone else notice these? Ebay item #2417874843.

Apparently someone is claiming to have 3 kits for sale.

This is interesting for a couple of reasons...

1. I thought the JCW kits hadn't been shipped to dealers yet. (this person claims to have 4)

2. This appears to be an outright purchase...no exchange of cores involved.

3. No actual photos of the kits...just photos from the JCW website.

The reserve has not yet been met, the price at this time is at approx $2,700.00.

Makes me wonder...is this legit?

I vote bogus too!

I saw this a few days ago & sent him a message, inquiring as to what's in the kit exactly!

No response. So, I sent another request for info, - still no response.

Someone is about to get taken!

Don't let it be you folks!

Imagine walking into your dealer and handing them a crate of parts:

"These ... ummm .... fell off a truck or something ..... yeah .... he he he"

Perhaps the thread should be re-titled ..."The ebay JCW scam!"

I agree...looked to good to be true to me...and me mother always said "if it looks too good to be true it usually is...".

my understanding is that each dealer is about to get one for demo purposes and that the first customer installations won't start until July or August.

Given the limited supply, I wonder how this person has that many kits. Maybe they are direct from JCW? If they can't provide detailed info or pictures and have zero feedback, I wouldn't touch that auction with a 10' pole

you got that one right, brother.

who knows,
maybe this person's got connection over in europe and freighted over here in a container along with a bunch of other stuff. it's an approved kit , so no EPA or DOT trouble there, right?

hello again,

i just went to the auction on ebay and noticed one thing.
this person's payment options includes "COD (collect on delivery)".
that is by far the safest payment method (cash exchange).
so this auction may be legitimate if this option is offered.

but still, some pictures of the actual goods are nice.

what do you guys think?

I would be interesting for someone to purchase and pay with PayPal using a Credit Card. These days you are protected from fraudulant purchases by using a Credit Cards. I tried to purchase a Sharpvision XV-9000U DPL projector to the tune of 7K on E-bay. (Retail 10K). The projector was advertised as the U.S. version on e-bay. It arrived with Japanese manual, remote, etc. I returned it and notified my credit card of the disputed purchase...I never was charged a thing. Took about a month, but was resolved.

So, if I hadn't already done the exhaust, intake and pulley. I would seriously consider this...the lack of sales and feedback is a wee bit unnerving.
Good luck to the high bidder and use Paypal with a Credit Card for added security

Has anyone emailed the seller? I'd be curious what they would have to say.
