AUG 18 - MINI Cruise & Driving Range Outing

Come on out for a scenic cruise through the North Shore that will start at the McD's across the street from the McD's store #1 (and museum) in DesPlaines and end at a driving range (weather permitting) for you golf fanatics! The Cruise will occur rain or shine! Parts of the route will include Suicide Circle and scenic Sheridan Rd!!

Date: SAT August 18th

Time: meet at 9am

Start: McDonalds - 440 S. River Rd, DesPlaines, IL
Rest Stop: Starbucks - 950 Sheridan Rd, Highwood, IL
End: Harry Semrow Driving Range - 1150 E. Golf Rd, DesPlaines, IL

The cruise will last between 2-2.5 hours (including rest stop) covering almost 50 miles.

Post up here or on the CMMC site so we can have a headcount for the driving range. Can't golf (like me ) they have an 18 hole mini-golf course as well.

No charge to join the drive and you don't have to be a CMMC member either! I'm working on getting free golf ***** for those attending, so bring your driver.

If you have an FRS radio, bring that as well.

Lunch?? Portillo's in Niles is right around the corner!

And no, we can't drive our MINIs onto the driving range to collect *****

why yes there is the range is less than 5 minutes away from the meeting area. you can see the put-put from the parking lot... and no, we can't drive our MINIs on the range

 

May I suggest a Mini mini golf tourney?

 

just got back after running the route dodged about 6 deer and just as many LEOs... almost got caught up in the Ravinia crowd leaving from a concert or something...

Thanks for coming out! I hope everyone had a good time with the route and the range afterwards. I think we went through 4 full buckets. best of all, I hit my first golf ball off a tee (thx Marco/Adam/Michelle) . Post or pm me any thoughts or suggestions to improve the run.
