Final shots of my Sidewalk

Just finished my side stripes yesterday. I'm waiting for some chrome replacement vents for the grill by the windshield wipers, but after that, it's done!

From the dealer I took it to Dan at Grassroots Garage and had the following mods done:

17% pulley
OBX Header
M7 Understrut system
Alta rear sway bar
Craven Short shifter
5mm H&K Wheel spacers

Also had runflats removed for Gforce T/A KDW-2s

That came out nice. I've not seen side stripes done like that before. Looks great!

Looks really sharp. As other's noted, the side stripes are great and unique.

Are the wheels the standard on the Sidewalk?

Everything looks good, nice set of mods, I imagine it messes up your hair when your hitting the twisties.

Thanks all!

Sadly, only ~400 miles so far... so still taking it easy during the break-in :(

Yeah, wheels are standard for the sidewalk edition. I toiled over the stripe concepts for quite a while before going with those. Here's one of the others I photoshopped up beforehand, but the hood stripes are just too indicative of all things MINI to go without, maybe after a year or two I'll mix it up.

Sweeeeeet!

I really love everything about the Sidewalks...the colors, the wheels, the interior. So pretty.

It's just the "Sidewalk Edition" badging, says "Sidewalk" on it. Lord only knows where there term came from, although I know there was an edition of the original MINI called the same thing probably because it could actually fit on a sidewalk, haha.

Very, very nice. I was curious about one thing, though. You said that you're "done" with the mods (as if that's *ever* true), but I didn't see anything in your list about bigger brakes or different wheels, so what were the 5mm spacers for?

It's already got the JCW kit which includes brakes. The spacers were just to bump the wheels outward some visually, not to accomidate anything new with the wheels or tires.

I'm holding off on any rear striping until the plate is on and I can see it done, I don't want to crowd up the back.

Glad you all dig it!

The stripes aren't to my taste, but they are beautifully thought out and work with your overall package. Nice work! They tie in to the door handles beautifully!

I love the sidewalk... Wish it wasnt 40K LOL

That color is by far the best to me, and also the stripes are very nicely done! SWEEEEET!

Let me ask about the Short shifter, and the header and pulley...

PRICE?

Just looking to see what my price will be to upgrade this car!

I was pretty amazed at the mods. All totalled (not including the tires of course) was ~$2000 installed. I wasn't paying strict attention to the individual cost breakdown per item, but the bottom line was quite reasonable for almost 2 days worth of work, welding, etc...

That was ~$2000 for:
17% pulley
OBX Header
M7 Understrut system
Alta rear sway bar
Craven Short shifter
5mm H&K Wheel spacers
All installation

Yep - Dan @ GrassrootsGarage is a bargain - sometimes he has so much fun doing this stuff he forgets to charge enough.

So they were all done at the same time!?

That looks amazing... I am curious to know the difference in performance? You did alot at the same time so I hop the difference is noticeable?

Yep, wanted to take it home loaded out I'm at 600 miles so still not hitting the higher RPMs, but so far it accelerates really well and handles even better. When nobody is around I keep trying to see how hard I can take a corner and shake it loose, and I'm just astounded at how far you can take it. That, and the brakes feel like you dropped an anchor.
