Does anyone have pics of an Aero front bumper with a stock S grill?

There used to be a thread on MINI2 that had quite a few pics and instructions on how to do it. The last time I looked at it was a couple of months ago. I went on there a couple of days ago (since I have thought of doing this myself) and cannot locate it anymore. I did as many different searches as I could think of and still no luck.

I actually want to do this too, as I'm getting my front bumper replaced and was contemplating an aero bumper.

Anyone on here do this? I was looking at the MINI2 threads and don't have a very good idea of how much extra work has to be done.

i was trying to think to myself how it would look and it wasn't pretty..
it looks pretty nice. but i favor more towards the aero grills.

I was thinking about doing the oposite, Aero grill on stock bumper.

I don't really like the look of the stock grille and the M7 one is just a bit too rich for my blood.

M7 looks too aftermarket for me... almost an awkwardly big opening.
the stock aero grill is the best solution imho. here's mine.

also, dont forget the black pieces around the fog lamps.

I think the stock grille looks 100 times better than the aero.

I found a thread on MINI2 that gives a little how-to information

http://www.mini2.com/forum/exterior/...ome-grill.html

I'm definitely gonna try this, I'm getting an aero kit sometime soon and I'll post how it goes.

nope. not when you have a front plate.

focal point of the car.

Well nice pic of my old car. I got the dealer to do Aero kit and chrome grills. I was told aboput the difficutly of the bottom. It takes longer because the tabs are not there. Chad did it he works at MINI of Charleston.

did they use adhesive (3M double stick trim tape) or fabricate hardware?

Yeah, I know I just recently lost my 04 SG/SG and replaced it with a 06 CR/CR. I need to get a pic of a nice red MC

Kenchan

They would have fabricated something.

finally got my car back from the shop

and got my aero kit installed and regular grills in. Not sitting perfectly, but still looks good IMO. I really want the aero side skirts next when I come up with some dough. BTW, this is my first picture post on NAM after over a year and a half of owning my MCS. I'm gonna put up my old hood and front bumper up for sale soon, hood has a dent and bumper has some black marks from a tire, they are gonna be going for very cheap in case anyone knows a good body shop guy. The other guy's insurance took care of me, hence the new aero bumper.

Also, here's more pics of other cars in case anyone else stumbles upon this thread that wants to do this.
