I have an 06 JCW that I am trading in, they do not care about the Sirius Satelite, so, I am thinking of yanking it all out if it will work in my 07 MCS. So, is it the same system/receiver/wiring in the 06/07?

I take you are talking about an OEM Sirius unit? If so, I doubt it is exactly the same, otherwise we wouldn't have had to wait until the first week or so of June to be able to have it added to our factory order. I may be wrong, but that is my impression.

 

I just thought of something else as well, with the dealer installed unit, is your subscription tied to the VIN or tied to the unit??

 

im pretty sure the sirius unit still comes with a sirius ID, been that way on other cars I've seen with oem sirius.

 

Wiring is indeed different in 07. Uses optical MOST connector now. That is why I'm using an xm roady tied into the aux port instead of using the 02-06 xm direct solution.
