My current one was from eBay:

Before this I used the one from my tool kit, dipped in red rubber paint.

Sorry for the awayness of the picture. Just plain'ol stock painted red (not even prophylactically rubberized like Matt's old one ).

(I've actually watched people try to pull the tow hook)

You know, I find myself wanting a tow hook so that I can have the "Pull To Inflate Sticker" so that I can watch people try to pull it. Thanks MiniMaybee!

but why would you want people pulling on it and touching your car..
hahah kidding. but that is a nice sticker.
i have the red rubberized oem one from matt.
but i havent put it on. cause one. im too lazy to put it on. and two..im lazy only cause i need the threadlock thingy or silicone sealant. (i also feel paranoid that it might be easier for someone to tow my car..)

only an issue if you leave the car in neutral with no parking break -- otherwise, hook doesn't make it any easier

Oh, me two!!!

The first night on this forum I came across a pic with the tow hook and sticker. I showed the DH and explained that I just have to have it. It's too funny. DH is set on placing the plate there though. I'll have to insist on this little bit of fun. I do think the pic I first came upon had this bit of equipment bolted into the grill area and had the plate on the tow hook. Anyone know who this is? Is the grill really heavy duty enough to bolt this to and have some kid pulling on it without messing something up?:impatient

Look back through the pictures and you'll see that 02-06 cars have the factory tow hook hole behind the lower grill. R-56's have the hole moved up and behind the bumper cover. From a looks standpoint, it seemed to look better in the lower grill (oh well). I made the plug for the bumper from corrigated plastic so I didn't have to drill a hole in the little yellow cover.

I have to say Uncle John's mellow yellow MCS with red ring is perfect! The ring just begged to be pulled. :D
