Rear Wiper Leaving Stains

Has anybody else had this problem? I have fluid from the rear wiper staining the area directly under the rear wiper. It is very difficult to remove. This can't be good for the paint. What bothers me is that this car is only one week old! I suspect the fluid needs to be diluted. Does the rear wiper have a separate reservoir?

Holy crap... I can't believe they didn't fix that with the new model. I think the problem goes back to the '02's. I ran mine w/o fluid for a while, finally I just removed the wiper assembly completely. I've heard the dealer "might" have fix but if they really did, I would think it would have made it into production by now.

I had a stain like this about a week after I bought my car. I cleaned it off and haven't seen it since. I think it was cosmoline that they spray on the car for ocean shipment that had weeped out after warm weather.

I have the same problem too! But it appears to be hard water stain since it appeared after I washed the car.

Wax your car as soon as you get it ,( with, in my case the Klasse Twins ) all stains will wash off. 'Bin der done dat' great stuff

Somebody owes me a keyboard!

Lets just say I went a whole different direction than was intended by the OP.

Way off course.

Tell me I am not the only one to read that wrong!

My week 38 car also weeps a little from the rear wiper. I have also noticed a few streaks from the from the front wipers. It is annoying, but I did wax the car the morning that I picked it up so the stain removal has not been an issue. One would think that a late build car would have the most recent updates so is it safe to assume that a fix is not available?

I had the same problem (mine built on 26 week). Used Klasse to clean it off. Klasse is paint cleaner with some protection.

I am glad to find out this post because mine also have this problem. Mine is 2008 MCS (2008, week 6 car). It's been only a week to drive my mini though.

I had the same problem and it seemed to damage the paint a little. Cleaners, waxes and everything under the sun it cleaned up a bit. Used Goo Gone on the chrome beltline under the rear dribble, which cleaned that up nice.

Undid the main washer line under the hood and drained out the factory washer fluid. That stuff has some bite to it, flushed system with regular water twice and now have a 50-50 mixture of regular window wash and water.

Hoping this will solve the weeping...

*UPDATE*
It has been over a month since I did this little bit of maintanence and Calie has not cried once since. Its been close to 90 degrees multiple days and nothing. I will report once I do my first long drive in her soon...break in is over with!

Did my first long drive (600+ miles) in 90 degree weather the whole way running 75, still no leakage. Hopefully it will work out for you as well!
