? for experienced MCsa owners

is it my imagination or does putting the car in "manual" mode evenw/o shifting induce sport mode for steering. Does not seem to be as aggressive a shift pattern as w/ sport and manual both invoked BUT the steering feels tighter to me when DS shows on tach even though sport button not engaged.

any impressions or do I need to cut down on coffee ?

Yes, putting it in manual mode puts it in sport mode also, at least it does for my wife's '05. On hers though there isn't a sport button, you move the shifter over to the right which puts in sports mode or SD and then you can shift manually if you wish.

If we don't move the shift selector over to the right and just shift using the MFSW paddles, it doesn't do that, but then it won't necessarily stay in the gear it is shifted to either, doing that way seems to be a temporary type thing as the computer will kick back in shortly and take control of the shifting again since it isn't in the true manual shift mode that way.

thanks. it appears to go into "sport" when clicking lever over to manual.
However, when you press the sport button, too, it seems to raise the rev limit even more. I have to experiment more with the potential options BUT I will wait till I am a bit closer/past 1200 miles. Right now, I am liking manual mode w/o sport button engaged (assuming they are actually different)

Nice, a sport mode for the sport mode! Heh, that would be nice, wouldn't it.
