R50/53 Motormount Goo?
Motormount Goo?
I have this brown hard substance just below the motor mount where it bolts in and the negative terminal of the battery attaches. Is this something that leaked from the Motormount?
Thx

We charge a little over $80.00 for them. Should be covered under warranty, but I have read where sometimes there not.
Thx..good ole' google got me some answers. But do you just go OEM or is there an aftermarket solution?
cheers

For right now, OEM. Were working on a fix, but not there yet. We keep several instock, as we change them a lot.

It should. I just had my motor mounts replaced again at 84,000 miles. They were covered under my extended warranty. First time they were covered by the regular warranty.
Some of the guys in my local club have a small brace that mounts to the motor mount bracket and the frame. It is adjustable and keeps the stock mount from over extending on hard accelerations. This seems to have solved their problem. I was going to get more info at my next meeting and order one. If you check with your local club I'm sure someone has it.
Check with LordOfTheFlies for an "engine dampner". On the '05-'06 they don't make a lot of difference in vibration but do stabilize the engine under load and may help prevent motor mount failure. TSW makes one too, there may be others. A quick search under "engine dampner" should bring up a few threads. Installation is pretty easy for either one, and they don't cost much.
Your motor mount should be covered under warranty. Check with your dealer.
