Exhaust Sound Reference Thread for NON S?

Hey everybody,

I've searched and can't seem to find an exhaust sound reference thread for the regular Mini Cooper. Is there one out there somewhere? I found the one for the Cooper S, but not for the Non S.

I'm considering the Borla exhaust...anybody got a sound clip of it if there isn't an entire reference thread?

sweet...be sure to post the sound clips here. Perhaps we can turn this into a reference thread for all the Non S owners.

I like the sound of the Megan exhaust and saw a few available on ebay. Is that Logen Mini naturally aspirated? It sounds nice too...how much does that whole package cost and what is included?

I've got a bunch of on track in car video of my Cooper with a Borla on it. Might not quite be the "reference material" you are looking for, though.

My Cooper has no rear seat in it, which makes things noiser. And on the track, the windows are open and wind noise is a bit of an issue for sound quality.

This video:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...75683434395089

Has some full throttle, some throttle blipping on a downshift, high RPMs at the begining, and "medium" acceleration after the spin...

The Lohen MINI One is normally aspirated. I'm guessing that the engine mods alone would cost over $3000: head, valves, cam, throttle body, manifold, cat, catback and tuning.

I just listened to the sound clips of the stock exhaust and it actually sounds better than I remember it.

Wow, nice vids, I like the last one with the header and test pipe. I have a 2003 Cooper with a Magnaflow and intake also. Did you notice any gain in power with the header and test pipe? Did it make the car louder?
