Club Sport Cooper S???

At Century MINI, they have listings for 2007 Century Club Sport Cooper S. They are available in Astro Black, British Racing Green, Laser Blue, Dark Silver, and Sparkling Silver with only a Black Roof, and equipped with LSD, Sport Suspension, JCW brakes, 18" JCW wheels, and JCW Strut brace as well as some appearance items - checkered mirror caps, Sport Stripes, and "CS Appearance Package." They are listed at just under 27K.

Has anyone else seen a dealer setting up a pre-built "JCW car" like this? I plan to go by Century MINI next week and will try to take pictures and find out more information.

Sounds like the dealer is just putting together options and accessories to get a "pre-JCW" package and increase sales revenue. Still the same stock drivetrain though, not JCW.

Agreed with mikeo. fairly base S with with a couple performance options and jcw accessories thrown on. The CS appearance package appears to be custom stripes.

looks legit though - everything at MSRP. nothing you couldn't do yourself.

Interesting package. Although the picture shows a Laser Blue, the description says Lightning Blue (for that color).

It looks like it's got aftermarket brake pads, but the rest is factory. I assume the "CS appearance package" is the stripes, which again are standard MINI options. I don't see any other special styling cues.

So has anyone else seen a dealer provide a build like this? I'll be there on Monday, so hopefully I'll get some pictures and more information. I'm intrigued by a dealer offering a track-oriented MINI off the floor like this.

There have been dealers offer "Fireballed" MINIs before. Adding official MINI accessories before they are sold is pretty common. Before JCW engine kits came from the factory it wouldn't be unusual to find MINIs with the JCW engine kit already installed by the dealer sitting on the showroom.

Get it if you like it. It doesn't seem to be over MSRP for the additions.

Any dealer that minimally specs their cars for performance rather than with 'safe' and expensive options is a place I'd be happy to do business. I'd love to test drive an R56 with LSD, sport suspension, and 18" wheels...it's hard to find a Mini in So Cal with just one of those three items.

That's not a bad package for sure, but the stripes need to go over the hood too

The lighter colors have black stripes on the bonnet.

I'd also give it the option of the checkered black cloth interior instead of the leatherette.

These club sport Cooper S cars look nice! They are just MSRP with some performance options, but definitely cool for someone who happens to want exactly that. Well set up, ready for the JCW engine upgrade and some very spirited driving!

I definitely will get some pictures posted next week. I'll also ask if they will be changing the Club Sport spec when the JCW Engine and Suspension come out this summer. Century MINI has kept the install costs for the parts pretty low as well, which is nice to see.

I went by Century MINI, and there was not a sign of the Club Sport S. I asked one of the sales guys and he hadn't heard of it, so I'm not sure what's up with this. Sorry I didn't come back with more info for those of you who were interested.
