Drivetrain Teaser - New Intake from Diamond Racing
Trending Topics
From what I understand it is going to be the most expensive intake on the market, because it takes in ONLY cold air, no air from the engine bay. I think the estimated price is around $299
What do you mean by cropped photos? What would I crop out?

The pictures are enough for me to see that the intake is for the MCS, not the Cooper. Many of us hoped that Diamond Racing would be developing performance mods for the Cooper, especially the CVT. Guess we're still stuck with one intake option: the Viper.
P.S. CooperSpeed, I noticed your signature now reads Sponsored by Vivid and Diamaond Racing. Are they sponsoring the Young Mini Motorers Club or your car?

Looks to me like the viper intake, but instead of getting air from the fron, it get's it from the cowl by the windshield by going through the plastic, and up. Looks ike what I was going to work on when I had the time. Looks cool though
I was in my MCS today driving and thinking about the teaser picture. I was thinking too bad I could not route the AC air from in the front dash out straight to the intake for some really "COLD" air. Would that be dangerous or even possible?
Only problem there is that your engine is using some of its power to run the AC compressor. But of course, you could always add a turbo and keep the supercharger. . . .that might help the engine breathe a bit better

>>Here's a pic under the bonnet of the Nuzzo Motorsports MINI's that were seen racing on SPEED today.

Yucca that is our Evolution Intake designed for engines over 250 hp. We have 3 MINI's in the Grand AM tour that run these intakes.
So, I guess when people have in the past asked were and how have our products been tested. Well at Grand AM on MINIs, in US SCCA Rally on WRXs, in the WRC Rally on FOCUSs, ETC, ETC.
So, we just do not run our stuff on our cars at the back yard solo II events or when we can get a group together to rent a track for the day.
We have real world race teams that have tried our products and run them.
The pictures are a scaled down version of what is being ran on the Grand AM MINIs. So far the two S's that have been running the only true CAI available are pleased.
It will be on the market next week.

Full custom ECU, 4 inch throttle body and many more mods. All of which will be available from Diamond Racing soon.
I would tell more but Tony would KILL me.
Actually our new strut bar fits with all of our new CAI intakes. I believe he can not run with one in his class.

I think the A/C would rob way more power than it gave...and that's the best case scenario....
