Has anyone mounted Sparco (or any) aftermarket seats using the factory mounting bracket/bits. From a little research it looks the JCW version of these seats do have a bracket available that retains the height adjustment feature. I'm interested in having this feature since both my wife and I drive the car.

Also if anyone has had success of sourcing either JCW or JCW GP seats from the UK or another country could you let me know your source. There has been discussion about this on Mini2 with New Mini Parts aka Mikey the Mini discussing it but it never got anywhere.

You have to use Sparco's mouting setup for these seats. Unless you are real short...you won't know the difference.

 

The JCW seats are Recaro seats, not Sparco.

I believe there is a mounting kit for Sparco seats that gives you a height adjustment. I was looking into some Torino 2 seats for my car a while back and seem to remember seeing a bracket that provided height adjustment.

 

Actually I think there are 2 flavors of JCW seats, standard and GP. The standard european JCW seats are Sparco and the GP seats are Recaro, and I've seen some shots of the R56 with factory Recaro CS.

Thanks for the info on the bracket I'll research more on the Sparco bracket. I've also posted to Mini2 as its more eurocentric so there should be a bunch of users there with the OEM Mini base/bracket/adapter
