I am gonna order the Alta pulley from moss mini, but i was wondering if i should get the belt that they have for it for $25, or if i can just use my stock belt and i'll be fine?
is there even a difference?
thanx

Note that Gatorbacks are louder than the stock belt...there's a clip somewhere around here. I'm not sure with the 17%, but I'm running a stock belt with my 16%. Gatorbacks are known to be one of the best belts, just make sure you don't mind the noise.

But the added noise has an intimidation factor - it is worth at least an extra 15 hp.
well im not really one to mind loudness anyway, so long as its the right kind of loud, and caminifan, whatya mean its worth an extra 15hp? the belt adds? or are you just talking about the whole pulley/belt assembly?

Someone that I know (who doesn't know what mods have been done to my car) heard the noise from the Gatorback belt and asked if I had swaped out the M45 S/C. I didn't correct them, and so, now they think I have a M62 in the car.... I figure the virtual M62 is worth at least 15 hp!
