Street lables on 07 Nav?

I could have sworn the videos I saw of the nav had the street names running alongside the streets on the map. Even the manual shows this. My nav has them all horizontal with a small dot on the road.

What does yours look like?

If my map is in "perspective mode", there are few, if any street names. If I change to "map direction of travel" all street names are there.

The street names are there for me, they are all just right-side up for the display, instead of the streetnames running alongside the street k¥like my 2005's nav. Images in the manual for the 2007 show the same but my nav has them all running left to right, not alongside the road up and down or around bends.

Yes, me too. No matter what view I select, map facing north, facing direction of travel, or perspective, all the street labels are horizontal; no wacky angles for this nav! This is with "updated" software; is it possible this differs from one incremental version to another?

Street names are all visible horizontally in all the views. The closer you are zoomed in, the more street names you can see usually. This is what my nav looks like:
