What color would you have requested if given the option?

First and foremost my message below is not intended to put down any members who may own the color - just personal opinion/reaction.

My favorite color was NOT produced for MINIS, which is same color as my M3 "Alpine White" Pepper White is beautiful but my first impression when I saw PW, reminded me of an old toilet seat - yellowish/tan color. I just wished MINI put more pepper than butter on it. I ended up with my next favorite color, which has become my favorite color now (only wished I ordered same color for my M3) Dark Silver with Red Interior The downside to DS (IMO), they don't look as good on pics vs. PW cars, but when you do see DS up close, they shine like a diamond!

What color would you have selected given the option MINI will paint your car to your specs?

I agree in that I do not understand why MINI does not make a "real" white.

If you want to paint to sample, I guess you need to move up to a car make that does that. Or take Tori's and some others route ... paint it afterwards.

At the time, a REAL BRG. Non-metallic. BMW even had the right color that they used on the Z3 for a couple years.

That or....

I like Astro Black, but I agree that there should always be a pure BLACK option. I bought a black Civic Si years ago that turned out to be an off-black metallic.

I would have been happy with velvet red if it was available for MCS. And of course now the new red is also not MCS avail.

i would have them paint it space blue with a silver roof with the two tone space blue and grey (checkmate) interior.
oh wait, i got that. nice!

now if we're talking any color, I would have liked Laguna Seca Blue with a two tone black and laguna seca blue interior. This was only available on the z3 M roadsters and coupes for 2001 and 2002.

I'm not a huge fan of super bright colors like Orange or LSB (attracts too much attention), but LSB as well as Orange are definitely calling to be factory painted on MINIs!

Someone please photoshop the colors on MINIs, I bet they're gonna look BADA$$ - definitely rally colors!!

On photos, PW shows up as white (LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!!) but when you see PW up close, sun reflecting the paint, that damn buttery/tan toilet seat color keeps showing up.

All in all, I hope MINI will start to expand more choice of colors. Like some already mentioned, alpine white, orange, LSB, and not too forget Ferrari yellow just to name a few...

Klein Bikes made a great looking Sedona Orange. If I wanted a custom paint job I'd beg them to do it. Their standard and custom palletes are awesome to include any of their Blacks. Look through some of their archives.

They used to be down the road in Chehalis, WA till Trek bought them, now they're in Minnisota? ... in spirit more or less.

I like the GP's color the most followed by the new Sparkling Silver.

My gallery shows a PW that looks pure white.

Crusoe,

I hope I did not offend you in anyway or others - about my comments on PW. Your gallery pics tells my PW color experience/frustration...damn thing looks more white than my Alpine White M3.

MINI needs to get off the boring metallic kick. I like a deep, clear shiney finish. I would like to see LY brought back & boring mellow yellow (aka, school bus, mac-n-cheese, or road stripe yellow) bumped out, bring back jet black, & add lime green. If I had to choose between those 3 colors I dunno what I would pick. Until that happens I guess I will just have to stick with good old CR
