JCW GarageInterested in John Cooper Works (JCW) parts for your 1st Generation MINI? This is where JCW upgrades and accessories for the Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs are discussed.
MINI does not have JCW suspension for cabrios (only hardtops). Even for the hardtop, the suspension was not included with the dealer or factory tuning kit and must be purchased separately.

If you ordered JCW at the factory, you'll get the JCW Brakes, if you didn't and put the JCW Kit on at the dealer, you won't get Brakes. You do not get the JCW Suspension in the JCW Package.

rkw is correct. The JCW suspension was not made for and is not officially available for the R52. The reason is that there are 4 spring rates available depending on which options your MINI has, and with both the MC and the MCS hardtops, that's 8 variations already. They didn't want to tune, manufacture and stock 16 variations, so made the decision that people who are more "serious" about performance would choose the hardtop over the convertible (due to reduced weight, increased stiffness, etc)... and therefore less justification for the JCW suspension in convertibles.
That doesn't mean that it hasn't been done... it has. Some convertible owners have managed to get it installed... but is it well matched? Is it balanced to their MINI? Nope.
