Air con pump not kicking in?
Ive just regased my air con and have noticed the the pump isnt kicking in.Any idears as to what it could be.I will of coarse check the electrical plug is secure on the pump, but is there a fuse for this? .And is there any other way of testing it?
Basicaly we have just changed the engine and also a new radiator ,plus the ECU had a JCW remap .We had to empty the air con system so i took it to a garage yesterday now the car is all back together .They presure tested it and then filled it with AMMOUNT 410 of air con coolant.I did wounder if the ECU might need coding for air con .But as for the relay and fuse not sure ,where are they.?
Have checked the connector on the pump.checked the fuse, its ok,relay cant see that it would have gone while the engine was out.But i wounderd if the ecu needs a fault code clearing if the air con gas was discharged while the engine was removed.Although the battery was disconnected. But then i connected it back up before i took it to the garage to get it refilled. Also i had the ECU reflashed with JCW software .so would that make a differnce?
Have you got the pressure switch connected properly, it wont work unless its seeing the min pressure

On the right hand side corner in the engine bay under the plastic tray what holds the fusebox etc, follow the small air con pipe from the front and you'll see it.
In theory you shouldn't of touched it but you never know you might of knocked it.

We did touch the sensor switch but if we emptied the air con gas while the engine was out and then reconnected everything including the battery apon startup the ECU would detect that there was no gas wouldnt it,so would this just need a fault code reset to reconfigure everything.
