Installing crank pulley? Kit is almost ready!

I am almost there.... I about have the old pulley off, I just need a longer puller bolt that I will get tomorrow.

Now for putting the new ALTA pulley on... I do not have any special tools for this step. The plan was to just crank it down with a huge torque wench and maybe even a little bit of impact wrench to get it going.

I do not have any vibration tool which was noted on the DIY write up here on NAM by Bomboasy. Will just cranking it on with the stock bolt be OK?

Also, I think I am going to use red loctite on the main bolt. I dont want this thing going anywhere! Is this wrong? May this pose a future problem?

After this install is complete, I think I will have my "crank pulley removal and installation kit" pretty much sorted out and complete. This will be available for any fellow motorers that want to come by and check it out. I found out that we needed this around my way...

Thanks for the input. Jasun

Set the Alta pulley on the corner of a metal table/bench with the hub/engine side down, using a torch, heat the corner of the table ONLY, don't torch the pulley itself. Let the heat from the table/bench conduct to the pulley hub, after a few minutes, using gloves, place the pulley on the crank.

This set of installation instructions from Unorthodox Racing (http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/inst.../02020040_.pdf) suggests heating the pulley in an oven at 500 degress for 45 minutes to expand the pulley to allow it to be slipped on.
