One Lone Mini Flying the Flag

Oh, where are all the Sacramento and Stockton area Mini owners.

The fun they're missing by not attending any SCCA autocrosses at the Stockton Fairgrounds.

Three events I've attended there with my wife, and we're the ONLY Mini. For shame!

Next event is June 2-3 out at Mather Field. I realize that Mini Mania's open house is on the 2nd, but come on out to the Sunday autocross. It's a benefit for the Shriner's.

Might be interested in trying, I held a SCCA National LIcense in the early 70's (dating myself) Have not done auto cross in many years. My car has coil over suspension, 22mm rear bar, 15% pulley, K&N filter, Dinan software. What Class would that put me in?

A couple of questions. Is it an MC, and MCS, or JCW and what year?

A quick guess would be Street Prepared.

Still street prepared I think. Check the link in my last post for the 2007 rule book pdf. You can save it to your computer.

We'll be going to the Mini Mania thing on Saturday, but Mather on Sunday.

Both of us run, maybe your wife would like to also.

To this day she has never driven the car. Say's that it is my first new car and does not want to do anything to it (over the years I generally have driven what she does not want anymore) over 47000 mile in 2 years

I guess it does not matter which class I enter in as long as I do not post top time and get protested, right?

LOL. I'm almost positive you'll be in SP, but check that rule book, and ask the officials when you get there before you register.

Fortunately, they won't require you to take your car apart at local events. If you ever went as far as the nationals.... beware!

This is a great way to get an understanding of your cars capabilities. I am planning on having my wife enter her car sometime soon. Not normally her thing but the MINI has changed her interest in cars (for the better!)
