Go to Galves.com, spend the $5, and find the wholesale auction price for MINIs. In MD, two dealers told me that is all that matters.

Now pricing for private sale, add some money.

Best of luck!

what is the edmunds price?
This does seem a bit high -- just compare it to the other thread on the forum for the full 06 JCW MCSc that sold for $28k (with 700 miles). When dealers are offering up to 2k off on 06s on their lot, you can expect that a private sale with 13+k miles is going to be less than $5k under sticker . . .
As you point out, you're eating the depreciation -- but that's going to be more than 5k off sticker.

Just my 2 cents, since you asked.

That is a beautiful car though . . . good luck on your sale

Edit - this is the one I was talking about:

I always have to ask when I see a year-old car for sale, why are you selling? Maybe that doesn't affect the price, but I guess I look at it as kind of like getting a divorce after being married a year. You went from being in love to hating each other in how long?

I think the "in love" analogy definitely applies to MINI owners.

I just went through the shopping aspect and looked at as many MCS's I could find. I don't mean to be critical but I would notice the mileage-a little high for a year old car and then also wonder why you are selling. Unfortunatly you are in a tough spot to sell a car as the depreciation curve is at it's highest % for something less than a year old AND your competing with new 06 MINI's that the dealers are offering good discounts to move. You also have two new tires which might bother some buyers-especially those from this site- as they might think, they will be off balance and the wear will not be even. That gives you some reasons to negotiate but luckily MINI's hold their value very well. Good luck with the sale!

Thanks for thoughts on my pricing of this car.

I'm selling this car because I discovered that I am not in love with automatic transmissions. Got it for my wife and she says she doesn't care. Car is too complicated for her she says. Too many buttons to learn. Also, it was way loaded with Nav, and all the packags etc. A great car for someone who wants one with everything on it. Sticker was 33,900.00. I still have it.

Real reason. I found a raw JCW!!!! By raw I mean, no auto ac/heat, no auto wipers, no auto dimming. Nothing extra but sports package, cruise control, and armrest. The rest of the money went into JCW mods added at the dealership. I decided not to retreat into old age with the MINI limousine and am going to have one last fling with a performance car that is bad. Spank me. I'm sorry.

Mileage is fine. Average person puts on 12K/year. Under 15K/year is not going to deduct from the price.
