MITM ~ KIDS! are always welcome!

As you know if you joined us last year, KIDS are welcomed and encouraged at Copper Mountain resort. In fact, we encourage you to bring the whole family early or stay with them late so that you have more time with your kids. (Boy, that sounds weird).

Anyway, this is a partial list of kids activities. For the full list, go to

www.CopperColorado.com and click on Things to Do then Summer Activities. You will be amazed:
  • Golf
  • Go-karts (yes, with motors)
  • Paintball
  • Basketball
  • Paddleboats
  • Chairlifts up, walk down
  • Chairlifts up, ride the mtn bike down (rent one!)
  • Chairlifts up, ride the Diggler down (you gotta try it!)
  • Quad Jump
  • Paddle Boats
  • Climbing Wall
  • Hiking
  • Horseback Riding
  • Athletic Club
  • Massage (big kids)
  • and more!
There is a $49 day pass for kids that allows them to do unlimited amounts of most of the above per day. Check it out when you check in!

We brought our kids last year and they loved it. Chalk art was a big hit. The kids also loved all the car rides. Loveland Pass and Mt. Evans are favorites.

We're bringing our two daughters: 10 & 14.

Warning: Those who might be bringing their 14 yr old sons - keep them away from my daughter!

Disclaimer: Those with 10 yr old sons - I will not be held responsible for any damages.

It will be a glorious time.

Will have my 13 yr old

Friday night and Saturday. Fortunately:
  • He is a good co-pilot, since he can shift all 6 gears left-handed
  • His mother cannot shift worth a darn. She drives an automatic.
  • He has a good disposition, like his mother
  • He is smart, like his mother
  • He likes to read, like his mother
  • He makes A's, like his mother
  • Guess it is a good thing he has a mother.
  • Just once, I wish that one of them would misbehave.

Well, last year my son's mother (maybe .. just maybe ... my dear wife ...) was navigating ride #2 when we realized at the first rest stop that we were actually on ride #1 since she flipped the pages over. So, she has been fired as the navigator replaced by our kid. The way I looked at it, that's what y'all get for lettin a flat-lander lead the group .

Our 10 year old daughter will be with us at our booth giving sales pitches and bored out of her mind so she would love to be rescued and hang out with anyone else for as long as they will have her. Its also fun that Copper Mountain allows kids one free pass for each activity over the weekend and that the ski lift is free (and terrifying!!!). So that kept us busy when we needed a break. We are looking forward to the event and seeing you guys there!

I think you can go to Kings Super and get a day pass discount for Winter Park's activities if you are heading over that way.

Me and my daughter will be spending Wed. night at Winter Park so we can spend a day over there doing the alpine slide like we do each year.

My daughter had a blast last year and her birthday breakfast sunday morning was the icing on the cake, pun intended!

We're be somewhere on our way back to Texas on Monday, the 13th, her birthday. Have to figure something out!

Ron, check out the

Alpine Slide at Breckenridge. Only 20 mi from Copper, it is a much shorter drive and there is much more to do there than at Winter Park.
