British Car Week this year is from May 26 through June 3.

British Car Week is an opportunity to show that the soul of the british car hobby is not dead, but is very much alive and (with our MINIs, new Jaguars, Land Rovers and some very high-end marques) growing even in post-OPEC USA.

This is the 10th year for British Car Week and all that is required to participate is to drive your british car every chance you get that week. When you do, you will be joining thousands of other british car owners who will be demonstrating that the spirit is still there, even if the factories are closed and have turned into shopping malls.

Hmm, that would explain the 2 MG's yesterday and the Spitfire I saw this morning.

 

I am making plans now to attend the meet in Blytheville Ark. June 7th. I will travel from Memphis which should be a short trip. Thank God. I have never had my old girl on the road. My club members are also planning to go. We have old Spitfires, Austin Healeys,Triumphs, and a few others. I suppose if I don't make it, there is always AAA. ? !
