PDX MINI PRESENTS: “MOTHER MAY I?” Tour - Saturday May 12th, 2007 (RSVP BY MAY 7th!)
Maawhhom, please Mother, oh please, oh please, let me go on the Mother Lode of tours! I promise I’ll have a great time experiencing all that the Willamette Valley has to offer with covered bridges, frolicking lambs, rippling streams, medieval forest roads, me with my seat belt securely fastened and a navigator that perhaps meets parental approval.
Bring your Mom, bring a Mom-to-be, bring the Mom that you really wanted or a surrogate Mom (twenty-three year-old blondes with thigh-high boots are certainly welcome). I’ll be much easier to live with on your day, that would be tomorrow, if you let me run around with my fellow MINIacs on Saturday.
Meet-up:
Saturday 12 May 2007 at 9:00am.
Denny’s parking lot
155 Ryan Drive SE
Salem, Oregon 97301
First cars out at 10:00am.
Directions:
In south Salem, take I-5 Exit 253 (Stayton/Detroit Lake) and head west on OR-22/Mission Street.
Turn right at Hawthorne Street (next to Costco), then left at Ryan Dr into Denny’s parking lot.
Lunch:
No Host - $6-12 range
Fee:
$5.00 Members, $15.00 non-Members per car.
We will be running with FRS/GMRS radios set to Channel 7 - Subchannel 21.
If you don’t have a radio there will be loaners available at meet-up.
RSVP:
By no later than Tuesday 7 May 07 to events@pdxmini.org.
Info needed:
(1) How many cars will be attending.
(2) How many will be eating lunch with the group.
How better to show ol’ Mom that all that stringent upbringing has actually paid off and you’ve become a socially acceptable creature that has actually learned to drive that funny little car? She’ll be so proud!

Anyone want to meet up in Portland for the drive down on Saturday?
I was thinking like 7:30 in the Fry's parking lot? (assuming people would be comming from diff. parts of Portland). I will be leaving around 7:00 from St Johns

It's probably too late now for you to notice that I responded, so I guess we'll see you there at the meetup. Looks like pretty close to 60 people and 30+ or so cars...
PS, we might be in the red MINI tomorrow instead of the black (depends on which has more gas!
