MINIMini Toys - Diecast/Models/RC *Caution Lots of photos*
Or are we going to mix it up with all the other "Collectibles" threads
If so I'd be more then happy to edit the tittle of this thread and post some of mine here. Here's what I did to showcase the JL Italian Job MINI's http://www.mini2.com/gallery/persona...%204/27318.jpghttp://mail.roadfly.com/Smokey4/web-IJ-Shadow-1.jpg http://mail.roadfly.com/Smokey4/web-IJ-Shadow-2.jpg http://www.mini2.com/gallery/persona...%204/27255.jpg |

Did you make the boxes or find them available? Peter..in Denver |
I don't see why this thread can't be it. Go ahead and rename it!
Has anyone made a list of Hot Wheels/Matchbox/Johnny Lightning MINIs? James |

James Well when you get it done let me know and I'll post it for you  |
What about mini related toys? And Mini Cooper RCs
I picked up this Toys-R-Us exclusive Mini cooper racing set. They are called Speedez. It's the coolest thing ever! https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...-mini-toy2.jpg https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...-mini-toy1.jpg https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...-mini-toy3.jpg |
This site is managed anarchy, so start new threads if you have new collectibles to discuss.
If someone from NAM wanted to make me a moderator of the MINI Collectibles forum, I'd be happy to manage the threads. I guess I will have to expand my die-casts list to include not only Hot Wheels, but also Johnny Lightning, Matchbox, Siku, etc. James |
I don't know James.........
I like Dragonflyer's idea. When I floated this idea, I was thinking all toys; diecast, models (plastic & metal) and toys of both the MINI and Mini types. Separating out the toys would be like having separate threads for print ads from the dealer and those taken from magazines. It could get so categorized that we would end up with 1:6th scale, 1:8th scale etc..... all the way to 1:87th scale threads. I say lump them all together! |
I can go with that. Maybe rename the thread to something that encompasses all of the MINI cars/toys. Works for me.
James |
I like your thinking Smokey4.

While you're out looking, there are new Johnny Lightnings hitting the shelf. A Street Freaks Black MCS and a 2005 Lightning Strick CR/Amer Flag MC. I've got them both but only have a pic of the black one. And yes Clo if you are watching this thread, I've got an extra Black one to send you! http://members.roadfly.org/Smokey4/w...-MCS-Black.jpg |

Amazon sells the Speedez Mini dragonflyer posted:

Man! I paid 20.00 for that at Toy-R-Us. Amizon probably makes that up in shipping.
This is one that I got for my b-day this year. https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...ndbackmini.jpg |

dragonflyer, can I use that photo for my list of diecast MINIs (under construction)? Do you know who made the car? Do you know what day they gave those out at the Diamondback's game?
Thanks! James |

Found another Black one on my Hunting trip today! I also found a small (1:72 scale) RC MINI at Target, it had been removed from it's package and was missing the antenna and was the only one is the store so I didn't get it. It was an EB/W MCS made by "Xcaliber", the controller was also the base for the display. It had a hinged clear top that snapped into the base for storage. Anyone got one of those and can provide some info??? Thanks |

At the time it was the only one I'd seen that had the DS/B with sliding sunroof and the correct rims to match my car. http://members.roadfly.org/Smokey4/webrearqtr.jpg http://members.roadfly.org/Smokey4/weboverhead.jpg |
Wow! A large scale DS/B MCS with a working sunroof! That's my car exactly, and I've been looking for this for a while! Where did you find this and how much was it? TIA.

-Cor. It appears to be a stock type item though, the invoice describes it as: "Kyosho 1/18th scale BMW New Mini Cooper S Dealer Edition - it was 43.74 pounds plus shipping. Hope that helps and good luck! |
Funny thing about the Black/Black JL
It was supposed to look like this. I guess it got changed when it went into production.
