Background on the Creators
Does anybody know any of the people behind these ads?
Reason I ask is...back in The Before Time...2000 - 2001...I was amassing my set of Flair Magazine. Flair - for those who are not familiar - was a magazine very ahead of it's time that was produced for a year in 51-52. Aside from the content, the bindery was unlike anything seen before. cut-outs, entire articles done in small inserts...essentially the same type of things we see in MINI ads (see attached photo which is a Flair cover with "peephole" )
http://www.lookonline.com/flair.htm
Anyway...when I was buying them on Ebay, there was a guy - Jeffrey or Geoffrey...who was buying a set one by one and paying whatever it took. A lot in fact. Others of us could not figure out who this guy was or why he was so bent on amassing a set so quickly and without regard to price.
All this just came together in my mind yesterday while stuck in traffic. Could he have been working on background for the MINI Campaign? It would make sense from the creative standpoint and he was --IIRC--in Boston or NYC.
Anyway--just thought I'd ask.

The advertising firm which creates MINI ads is Crispin Porter + Bogusky located in Miami. (http://www.cpbgroup.com) Cathy can tell you more since she knows some of the people there personally.
