MINI Cooper Jacket

Well, finally had chance to wear my jacket, first time this season and thought I might as well show it off. I know probably a little over the top for most but hey, we drive MINIs, we're supposed to be over the top, LOL. Anyway, my goal was to create a sort of homage to those classic '60s style racing jackets and I hope it come close. I've already been asked a few times today where I bought it.

And my favorite part of the jacket, the "King of Cool" - Steve McQueen...

It is a shame he is hidden on the inside but then again, if he were on the outside - where would I put the patches?

And if you think I am finished - not bloody likely! I am working on a patch for the back that will finish it off. Hope to have that one done in a few weeks. I am still working on the design and then need to have it made.

Here are the MINI patches I originally made that got me started on this project, if anyone remembers...

and a gratuitous shot or four of my MINI of course...

I like the tinting. What % is that on your MINI? I still need to do mine.

Thanks, you know, I haven't a clue. It was done by the first owner and I didn't get any of the records or receipt for it. I do like it though. The did a very good job.

My new project. Thanks. Now I need to find a good jacket. That diamond stitch jacket will be hard to find.
