Wow I'm seeing interest in both. It's because Craig's work is so good. That second badge has elements that identify it to me...but the first badge is a first rate professional job. When I saw the badges he showed me, I had to get #1 right away because it was done so well.

I'm going to see what the finished product from Cooper Flags looks like and decide then (and I'll post pictures of the end result.). I'm leaning toward #1 at this point.

What I like about #1 is that its not mini specific. We already know you have a mini so #1 allows you to show more of you. If that makes sense

Those look nice!

Anyway -- I give up -- how can somebody without high-speed graphic programs make the graphics for the badges?? I'm trying to get mine working, but I've got powerpoint (of which I am a powerpoint ranger), and some of the basic paint/editor, etc. programs. Nothing comes out looking remotely professional.

I'm going to get these two in the mail, and then I'll place my order for the trader badges hopefully next week.

Hopefully you guys won't run out of badges to trade in the meantime!

Here are the items that I bought.

Circle Cutter:
http://www.buttonsonline.com/cutter.html

Magnet Sheets:
https://www.magnetking.com/index.php?cPath=3

Waterproof Vinyl Sheets:
http://www.texascraft.com/hps/produc...cat=255&page=1

Waterproof UV Overlaminate:
http://www.texascraft.com/hps/produc...cat=298&page=1

The circle cutter will cut the 30 mil magnet sheet with one pass. However to cut the 60 mil it takes 2 passes. I use c-clamps to clamp the cutter into place so it does not move and I am able to get a good cut on the 60 mil. If I can get the roller blades for the cutter sharpened more it would probably cut the 60 mil in one pass.

" Nice Circle " You are so kind.

I am glad you like it .

You just need to start off with matte vinyl.

Mark , those came out fantastic. The circle cutter looks like it worked well .

I like those smooth edges.

I think this thread would really take off if Cooper Flags would offer cheaper design services for their custom badges.

I think there are tons of folks who want to do this, or have badges for themselves (and friends), but don't have graphic skills.

Sounds like dickdavid just "called out" Cooper Flags. Well, lets get it on!

For a limited time, send me your design idea, along with your custom order for 18 badges, and the design time is FREE.

Send me a sketch, photo, image, etc. and a detailed description of what you want. You will receive a proof for approval, and the opportunity for one revision prior to the production of your custom Magtastic Badges.

In that case, maybe I should wish for one of the new Factory JCW's and a summer home on the beach.

Guys we should get the word out to the rest of the forum somehow in case they don't come here. I think this could balloon into

1. a great bunch of people trading
2. a great bunch of business for Cooper Flags

Then when the limited time offer is over, other people would be more likely to pay for the design fees because we would have really started something.

By the way guys....

Here is the full set of four badges Craig drew up for me... I ordered the two you've already seen, but the other two I haven't yet.

The two new ones have my car's name 'Tradition' on them, which also fits well with the Bama football theme....

Let me know if you think one of these would be better for the trading instead...

I love them all, but my favorites are the "A" and the "Elephant". VERY COOL OPTIONS!
