CR/W MC in Avon turned off US36 towards Avon Middle School (@ Feld's, I think it's still the Middle School) about 6:05PM

 

LY -- Eastbound on 62nd Street, East of Allisonville

LY w/ black bonnet stripes -- parked on Ralston, S. of 62nd.

 

BRG parking lot of Smokies on 86th street.

EB/B 86th and Michigan Rd.

 

East Bound I 70 just after the south split CR/W can't remember anything else was merging in traffic and got a glimpse

 

EB/W headed west from Yorktown HS around 7:30 PM on Thrusday.

DS/BLK MCS W/ Blk Bonnets leaving BP South in Plainfield aprox 1500 OccX 1 male (and can I say rawwr?!)

BLK/WHT MCS NB Harding from Banta aprox 2120 W/ Peace Frog sticker in back window

Saw an '05 BRG/W Cooper on campus (Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology) today, no idea who it was. Nice to see another MINI running around

 

Saw 2 but not in Indy. Ly MC with Black Bonnet stripes on the westbound on the South Bend Bypass and a CR/W MCS with white bonnet stripes northbound on I65 between Lebanon and West Lafaytte.

B/B MC headed west on I70(drove with him from about Harding St until I took my exit) around 4:15PM had Putnam Co. plates got a big wave too!!

How can you tell?

 

The first 2 numbers correspond to county designations. I thought the letter was also used to designate the city, but I can't find that list any where.

As rdaneel said the first 2 numbers tell teh county. There are 92 counties in Indiana and they are numbered alphabetically. The letter did tell what BMV branch they were purchased at but I don't think that applies much anymore. Indianapolis has so many plates they also use 93, 95, 97 and 99 and Lake Co. (Gary area) uses 94 and 96 besides their 45.

As you can tell I have a thing about looking at plates and figuring out where the car is from........strange I know!!

I saw a Pepper White MCS right out side my door. It had a black top and Red rings around the speedo! It was awesome!
