Saying Hello!

Just taking a minute to say hello. We will be taking delivery of our JCW MCS next week from D & R, and I just finished the membership process at the MINICCI website. And as the saying goes, the check is in the mail!

We live in N.W. Indiana, near Chicago, so we probably won't be attending every club function, but we are very interested in your upcoming F1 activities. We are long time Formula One fans and have attended every running of the race since it's return at the Speedway. It'll be nice to meet some like minded folks and gain some valuable MINI knowledge during this years trip.

The car is as follows, and we are dying to get it:

DS/DS MCS
Chrome Line Exterior
Premium Package
Cold Weather Package
DSC
LSD
Front Fog Lamps
Gray Leatherette w/ Gray Doors
Chrome Line Interior
Anthracite Dash
Anthracite Headliner
H/K Sound
"S" Rubber Mats
JCW Tuning package
JCW Door Sills

Oh, and his name is Fafner. We look forward to meeting some of you folks and getting deeper into all things MINI and F1!

Well, a quick update - we got a surprise call from Dreyer & Reinbold last Thursday that the car would be ready Friday morning! We weren't expecting it until at least the following Tuesday. So a quick trip down to Indy on Friday and we are proud owners of one hot little toy! It's now Tuesday and we have just over 400 miles. Can I just say that 4500 RPM sucks?

I'm going on Saturday morning to have the V-spokes removed and replaced with 17" Kosei K1 TS and Avon Tech m500 rubber. I've ordered about $200 worth of car care goods and an S2000 antenna. This is beginning to be really fun!

Keeping it under 4500 rpm will be just a faint memory in a short time and you will have plenty of time for some motoring fun.
