Hi EefsJ_JArc and all! You may have seen me. Where did you see the PS/B MCS? I posted images to the image gallery, give it a look! BTW... I am a newb here but have managed to put 2500 miles on my new '05 PS/B MCS while also lurking these forums. I was lurking even long before I made the purchase last February. Now I break my silence :smile:.

Anyway I have plenty of learning to do in regard to mini's and will have many questions for everyone. I absolutely love the car -- it's a blast to drive! For the record I am an enthusiastic waver/light flasher when I see another mini on the road... so I look forward to seeing you out there. I would like to catch up with you all for the Sunday drive or the next Indy gathering. Does one have to be a member to participate? I have considered joining MINICCI, just haven't got around to it yet. Anyway... I feel I am getting a bit windy for a single post so I will bug out. Look forward to meeting you all!

Hot damn, I spotted a CR/W MCS on Southport RD in Southport of all places around 11:30am on 3-18-05. And I got a wave !!! Good tints too, I could really only see the wave out of the front window.

 

Uhm, we were on the northside, I'm trying to remember exactly where... I'm bad with northside locations still... but we were in a brk blue envoy.... There were two people in it, I remember that much and that it had the longer antenna..... and I want to say that it had black bonnets....

 

It is likely that it was me. I have the bonnets and work on the north side so it's very likely. Anyway nice to make your aquaintence. I may participate in the Sunday's drive as a guest, so perhaps I will see you there. Take care!

Sunday, Plainfield around 5 PMish, DS/B (I think) MCS with temp. plate, think they waved

 

Today 3:40ish west bound on Raceway road and Girls School Road CR/W Cooper license plate MINI D I spotted her and passed to see the car and then let her pass me back to follow her all the way to the Avon Wall Mart. She must have thought I was stalking her.

 

Davisio, we finally crossed paths. I was wondering how long it would take. I was picking up one daughter that lives in your neighborhood and on the way to visit another daughter currently at Hendrick's Co. Hospital. I'm surprised we haven't seen each other before this. Secunn

 

I'm curious how you can be West bound for Avon on two roads that run North and South. ??

On my way home from the doctor's office today... 8:48 AM BRG/W with Bonnet Stripes heading westbound on hwy 36 turning South into Avon Middle School.

Thought it might have been EefsJ_JArc for a second but the driver was blond and had shoulder length hair.

Saturday Morning:: Saw the EB/Wht MCS, with bonnets and an AE plate, heading south on 37, stopped beside you at the stoplight at Banta once again (this time in the SUV)....

Tonight:: Joe is working district and reported seeing a LY (didn't give the contrast color) MC(s?) at 75 / College

You caught me again. If I remember correctly, you were turning South on Township Line from 86th St East bound.

 

Last Night Aprox 2220... BRG/WHT MC W/ Bonnets in the Avon KFC Drive-thruI was in the Texas Roadhouse parking lot and stopped right across from you and gazed upon that beautiful car until I realised that I probley looked really suspicious... The guys would've laughed when they came to investigate and found out it was me Mini gazing....

 

Both were EB/W MCS. The first in the parking lot in front of AAA Smokes In the strip mall north of Rockville at Mickley(?).

The second at the beauty salon north of Rockville just after the stop light for Texas Road house.

 

Ok, I am going to rant for a moment, but I swear for only a moment .

3-29-05, 10:15am, Sitting at the intersection of N Payne RD and W 86th going left to W 86th, IB/B MC pulled up along side turing right. Looked right fricking at me. I smiled, waved, and all of those other polite Cooper things. She gave me look of death and drove off .

3-29-05, 2:20, N I-67 just south of Poe Cafeteria, CR/B MC heading south. I flashed lights, waved, and such, got a very odd blank stare .

3-29-05, 3:15, W on W 86th (I know I was all over hell today), LY/B MC with good tints even, flashed lights, waved, thought about gesturing something. Again, nothing.

So, the rant. A lot of MC owners just don't give a ****. I know there are some great MC owenrs in the group, and I am not saying all are bad. But darn there are just some seriously dense ones out there. So, please if you are an MC owner, please let the other MC people know that it is ok to wave at an MCS.

I have seen the same IB/W MC two days in a row now on I/65 and I/865 and got a dumb stare when I honked and waved. I think some folks don't know what they have. They are not into the MC thing like we are and think they are driving something more along the lines of a Pacer or Pinto or something... It is my experience that usually the blank, dumb, stares come from those in an MC rather than an MCS.

Just my 2 cents.

29-Mar-05 8:30PM ran with LY/Y MC on Michigan through IUPUI campus. I could not get an acknowledgement all through town until we were both stopped at a light at White River. After hunting for the toggle switch she lowered her window and said she only had the car for a week. I think she was so busy learning about her new MINI that she didn't notice anything or anyone else. Nice lady. I think she will come around to the true MINI culture.
