I also removed the camera strap and put a heavy split ring on the right strap lug. Then I used nylon cord from the split ring and tied it to the inside door handle.
Jim
I like that position(angle, view) Jimz. I'm going to have to see if my mount works on the side of the headrest. Thanks for the idea. And I got a fish-eye lens for Christmas so that'll be fun to play with!

I've been thinking of a head rest mount ,too!
These were taken with the Sigma 10-20mm and the images processed with DxO Optics Pro v4. http://www.dxo.com/intl/photo
Congrats on the new lens!! Can't wait to see some images.
1&2 dial down the dash lights so they don't flare as much—or go manual and expose for the interior & let the exterior fall
3&4 overexposed—keep the shutter speed as is (it looks great!) & close down a stop, (or use an ND filter)
Those are great, Jim! I really like the tunnel of trees effect. The exposures look fine to me, though of course in that last one, especially, you're dealing with a lot of contrast so the clouds are blowing out a bit.

I should have provided more info in my constructive criticism.
You can use global adjustments (or layer masks & adjustment layers) to bring the levels up in an underexposed capture—it's difficult, tedious, and usually impractical to add detail to overexposed images.
