The picture AZminiman posted is me weathering rediculous winds. It was crazy
And that's the tripod I was talking about that my little point and shoot camera looks so silly on.

Chainsaw we still have a few colors left, we're out of the electric blue which was our top seller and by far the coolest but we'll have some more printed soon. Send me a PM

Dickdavid-Thanks, I do have a lot of shops I don't photoshop, believe it or not only #2 and 3 were photoshopped. The others I only adjusted color a minor amount and maybe took out speckles which was minimal.

Thanks everyone else as well!
I will hopefully have some more up soon.
If anyone knows where the video is of my drunken speech at the dinner I would love to have a copy!

That's what I figured.

I hope you don't think that I was implying anything. I was just commenting that you've got talent that goes beyond the tricks of a dark room or photoshop. You 'get' the shot before you click the shutter button.

Very few folks can carry that off. Happy shooting.

Good job! Now post some more!
from what I can see it's either an S70 or S80... which is NOT your average point and shoot. uses the same battery as the XT and is CF with the wonderful ability to shoot RAW. it also has all the settings you would need right on the back of the camera and not buried in menus. basically, don't bother selling anything... it looks like stoopidgirl isn't so stoopid when picking out camera gear... as you'll probably note with the bogen 3200 series/3030 in the one above picture.

Thanks guys! yaaaaayyyy
ITSDCHZ-That is the camera I take all my shots with. It's a canon s70 so Royalwe is right on. It's an awesome camera and does just about everything. I do drool over the SLR's and wish I had one because I really need good zoom,wide-angle, macro and fish eye lenses. So if you decide to sell your stuff I'll be happy to give it a home (giggles)

Dickdavid-I know what you meant , I do use photoshop a lot sometimes but I try to leave enough shots untouched so it isn't a cruch. I have a coworker who is always picking on me for using the blur filter...I can't help it, some pictures just need blur!

From all your Pics previous to this thread I was sure you had a High End SLR. Your talents are a proven fact that it is not only the gear, but the BRAIN behind the gear .

I couldnt even imagine what you could do with an SLR, as you seem to work that s70 like a pro! As suggested the s70 has many features, and is a workhorse for its size, I may need to look into for a pocket camera!

I always follow your threads and blogs, just to see what truly amazing picture you will post next. MAD PROPS to you MLE!!!

Its-I found that Costco has the new s80 for cheaper than the s70...I think it's $429! It's a smoking deal and would recomend it to anyone. It's actually the same camera Hafid shoots with, I think his is the s50.

steve-so that would make me AIA...hmmmm

Em, I'm snagging some of those for the AMVIV3 writeup. I'm about to post some new gmail addresses for people to send pics to if they want them maybe included in the writeup.
I figured your handle came from the Garbage song.

Cool with me Agro...and yes it basically did come from the garbage song but I always hate admitting that :P at atleast it was a decent song. a few bands have done stoopidgirl songs since then but I think Garbage did it best. I still need my own theme song/jingle

Stoopid girl, eh? She's no dummy when it comes to the second rule of good photography: buy the best tripod you can't afford and it'll never let you down. My 2 Manfrottos are going strong after 20 years and have at least 200 more in them.
(the first rule of photography? -- you must have a camera with you to make photographs.)

cheers, phil

Corollary to rule #2: if you *really* can't afford the tripod, find someone who also can't afford it to buy it for you. ;-)

I also like your pics a lot. I actually have the same camera as you do but not the talent. I'm known for taking the worst pictures. Especially since on action shots you need to press it down halfways to focus, then completely to take the picture. I need to practice that so I can get better, take care.

kyriian,

I think she posted earlier, but the S80 is on sale at costco right now for 430. the S70 is still listed at 499! Both are the same black BTW... I think only a megapixel different.

actually the S80 is black and Chrome...ooooohhhh...perty.....I drool over it....now if only I could afford the underwater casing....mmmmmmmm....watershots

Looks like they've changed some functions around...I hope it's still easy to use. That was one of it's best features. The screen looks bigger (yay)

here's the costco link
