Bridging Mini

Taken today, a dull and dark day.

During the whole of a dull, dark and
soundless day in the autumn of the year,
when the clouds hung oppressively low in the
heavens, I had been passing alone, on
horseback, through a singularly dreary tract
of country, and at length found myself, as the
shades of the evening drew on, within view of
the melancholy House of Usher.

-Edgar Allen Poe (The Fall of the House of Usher)

Thanks for looking.

Very nice! Did you take these with B&W or color film? I'd be interested in seeing the color one, if you've got it.

It's so hard to get nice shots on grey days like that; there's so little contrast and the colors look so dull. Somehow (for me) the scene looks nicer in person than captured on film. Haven't figured out why, yet. I took a *ton* of pictures in Chicago on a grey, rainy day a couple of weeks ago, but the lack of color just makes them so unappealing. Come to think of it, maybe I *did* capture the scene, and I just don't like what I saw. :-)
