Tuls, I imagine you're responsible for that awesome roof graphic?

accually Emis made it her self.....she drew it out on paper...then I showed her how to use the pen tool in Photoshop...

but yes at that point I secretly took it to my buddy at a graphics shop...heh he...she did stripes too...as you can see there...she's quite the artist...got a sweet style too....as soon as we get the Stoopid Girl Page up you'll have to check it out...

Wow! That is one pink car! Very cool. Anything to personalize it is a good thing.
Can't wait to see it in person at AMVIV. I remember the car from this year, coz of the stripes and roof graphic.

so glad you guys are liking my car! I would love to show it off to everyone in person so yes if I'm still in Arizona for AMVIV next year I will most deffinately want to show it :D As for the roof graphic, I do a lot of art and stuff on the side (mostly doodles and photography), I haven't shared much of it here but like Tuls said, as soon as my site gets up I'll be more than happy to show everyone what I do. We both have our own styles which opens us up to a wider audience.

thanks guys

Killer paint job- Pink dash, gauges, cupholder/shifter ring and door ovals!

Black wheel arches, side skirts, valences, interior door pulls, door speaker trims, and center console downtubes!

Chrome trimmed exterior- side mirrors, gas cap, and front grills.

Did you paint the engine bay pink? The engine and battery covers are plastic and could be painted pink!

ACK!!!!!!!!!!! You had to call it a Barbie car didn't cha!? Now do you really think Barbie would be sporting a Jolly Roger roof graphic? I think not my friend

Cdnsnowman the floor mats were my first present/mod for my Baby, I think Tuls ordered them from Ebay pretty cheap (just type in Diamond plate foor mats) but you can get them through Moss I think.

I think you and Tuls should get in touch with Mattel right away, see if they want to license your design. I'm so tired of those pink Corvettes and RVs - Barbie needs a bitchin' ride! WITH a Jolly Roger roof graphic!

LOVIN' your car!

I dunno Emis, I don't think your pink is Barbie at all (like I know? ). Seems that whole pink thing would normally be a paler, lighter shade of pink. Yours is much more vivid, at least in the pics, and far more nuanced than any pink car I've ever seen. There's a certain seriousness about the shade you guys chose. Speaks of quality, not fluff....very dressed up, high stylin'. The glossy black trim and clear lighting details contribute to this very classy overall look as well.

Since i'm a Barbie fan... i know my barbie colors. That is NOT a Barbie color, so stop calling it that! That's too Punk for Barbie.

I wanted to paint my last car barbie pink (that's a lightish neon hot pink for those of you who don't know. And it's flat, not metallic) and get the barbie script across the side... and put barbie fabric all over the inside. I already have a My Size Barbie passenger. :P

If you gotta put a girl toy with that car color, I'd say it's more "Bratz." :P

Wow, so much controversy over pink. The shortbus is right, Barbie pink is much lighter and as for selling it to Matel, there's no way. I know how that company works, I was the test subject for "Puppie Surprise" if anyone remembers that genious impregnated toy? My dad and all his buds are inventors and that patented idea was presented to matel who turned around and stole it so Heaven forbid they ever see my car! Barbie will then need to be wearing an oldschool striped prison uniform. All though that might be hot and provide many fantasies for men young and old she's a corvette driver and always will be...a-k-a white trash. I wouldn't trust that hussy with my Mini even if she lent me Ken for the evening.
