did you see the one with th three cars from three different countries? that was on at 7:30 your time. i think the show might be on at 7:30PST. it's on at 9:30 here in the CST.
Nothing wrong if you got the tuner challenge. If you watch the end segment (its broken into 4 segments) you will see the track day that TMMZ helped create...also known as the MINI CHALLENGE. Along with that, you may notice that the trailer of the show shows the minis going through the canyons. This first episode really just put out the shots of us running on the track....the next one will do an in depth look of our teams' minis in the tuner/racing scene.
This one was just a little footage of our minis...the next one will show more.
Our team isn't famous enough to full a full 30 minutes on National TV....yet

Hmm, I used my cable box DVR to record the show, and I was only passively paying attention since the show was focused on other cars. I wasn't paying attention hardly at all towards the end, and either I finished it early, or the show end cut off, so I didn't see the trailer. I should have paid more attention
The 'teaser' was an 8 second clip of a few Minis for about 1 second each and a voice over that said 'They are on the street, on the track and even in the canyons. The New Mini. Tune in next week to see...' That's it.
The rest of the show was ghey. What's with pulling a few 50+ GM desk jockeys with zero on-camera personality pretending to be 'tuners'? I almost laughed off the couch when the white haired balding guy said we need to win [with the Cavalier..I mean Cobalt], I don't care if it's an all wheel drive Skyline, bring it on. Lame.
The whole show was tiny short clips of a cobalt, a skyline and a jetta being stripped, and the 'tuners' smack talking about all the mods they will install and how they are going to 'double the horsepower' and beat everyone else on the track.
That's IT. They didn't show any parts, talk about any specifics, show the results, etc. Pour in 15 min of commercials to the 15 min of show and you didn't miss anything at all.
Pimp my ride is 100x better than that show and that's really lame too!! LOL

The show is Tuner Challenge. It is primarily about the tuning of the three vehicles. At the end of the show is a seperate portion of video.
This episode ended with a segment about the challenge and track racing. They used very little of the Mini Challenge footage. From the previews, it appears they will be doing the other footage we shot with them next week.

When I first checked out the program info on the site, I was completely confused because it made no mention of the challenge whatsoever...
Personally I couldn't care less about the 3 cars they are pinning against one another....
And the new Jetta is really ugly.
This gives me another week to find someone with Tivo so I can get the second show recorded.

The super tuner challenge will be spread across all of these episodes. This first one was just to show them tearing the car down, the next episodes will consist of building up the cars and the actual competition. I dont care too much for those cars...but some may find it interesting.
Do as they say and tune in next week to see our cars and interviews with team members. If thats not enough, you can look into the DVD that we are on...'Chasing the touge'. It's not like there is much good on TV nowadays anyways

You have to look at it this way...
To the best of my knowledge SpeedChannel was not at Buttonwillow specifically to film the MINI Challenge. That is why we are grouped in with a bunch of othercars.
They made the decision to do a second segment after shooting some of our team at the track. Sam (as in Samtrak) organized a group of TMMZ members together and some venues were then picked to do filming.
All of that footage was taken with the intention of putting together a longer, MINI specific segment.

I saw just the preview while flipping channels...I'm def checking it out next week. And the teaser vid you have in first post is awesome. I can only aspire to drive my MINI like that one day.
Motor on!
Motor on!
Not much to see on this episode
There was only the slight bit showing a couple of MINI's doing timed laps. But at the end of the show they said on the next show there will be what looks like more MINI stuff. This show had the lets hop up a chevy, a skyline and a VW, would have been better if they dropped the vdub and did a MINI.
they already had the show planned and in the stages of taping when they encountered TMMZ...
but some of us have taped the show and will tape the next one. I will probably put it up after the second one. There is a post with some of the footage here: http://www.teammightyminiz.com/forum...r=asc&start=60

And concerning making our own...we have been gathering footage
, and not just from our west coast teammates...eastern ones too
