Not sure if this is the right section, but I'd like to share a recent discovery I made. I always knew my dad owned a mini back in the UK when he was a kid, but had never seen any pics of it....until now,lol

This is my dad in the late 60's w/ his old mini cooper (I believe it was a 67)



I guess mini's sorta run in the family,lol (I have a 2006 checkmate edition)

 

That's a treasure, so keep it safe.

 

And the car in the background is an Austin or Morris 1100.....the kind of big brother to the Mini of the day.

My father was an old car hound also. I have the greatest memories of motoring all over Europe while stationed at Bitburg AFB in our 1962 VW Bus- red and white and amazing. He alway had a project car around- Mercedes convertible, 54 Ford pick up, etc.
