need new point and shoot digital!

Hey everyone -- It's been forever since i've been on NAM since the DCMM chapter moved to our own forum site. Anyway, I need to buy a new digital camera and ideally, have it delivered (buy online - much cheaper) by Saturday. I have owned two Nikon Coolpix digitals and just need something mainly without a lot of delay in between taking photos, with of course, good quality photos. Cost range - probably $150-200. They seem to get outdated quickly so i dont see much sense in buying a super expensive one if i'm just going to need to replace it in a year or two.

Any helpful hints or suggestions that you guys might have are welcomed! I dont know a ton about other brands, but I'd like to stick to Nikon or Canon, even though i know less about Canons than i do Nikons.

Thanks!
Happy Motoring! =)

If you really want to stick with Nikon, I would recommend the Coolpix S640. It is very fast for a P&S. If you want to consider other brands I would look at Panasonic in that price range. Maybe the Lumix DMC-FH1 or DMC-FH3. I bought the Coolpix S640 for my wife for Christmas, and have been pleasantly surprised on how good it is considering the relatively poor reputation of the Coolpix line.

Check out the Canon PowerShot SD750, we've got an older Canon P&S and it has worked great for us, check out my Gallery Pics. all of those were taken with it.

The SD750 is actually a great camera, it was my first Point & Shoot and never failed. It had a all the options I needed, too bad I dropped it and broke the lens I still bought another canon, they are IMO easier to use and have better quality.

here is a refurbished SD1200 for a great price at buy.com
