I think so... and they can learn from you!

They have "photo critique" section where knowledgeable folks will be brutally honest... otherwise -- other than say in the news & rumors forum where people can be pretty outta hand -- it's a very civil & mature board.

If you join, hope you contribute to a thread I started that's become the most replied to thread on the board... "Your Pet A Day"
(I haven't been too active on the board lately tho; working a lot & not taking a lot of photos this summer .)

South Bay MINI Breakfast

Hey, I was at South Bay this morning!
There were so many cameras toted around that I only plucked off a few snapshots. (I should download them onto my laptop.)

I have two dumb questions ...
Can you accomplish the same result shooting RAW and adjusting the curves?

For action shots my Nikon takes one shot and records it 3 times for multi exposures, but doesnt my K10D take a shot for each exposure, making action shots HDRI difficult?

Thanks, but you've also got the 'eye'. I would have recognized the beach shots, but I don't think I would have seen the potential in that old set of concrete steps.

Again, looking forward to more of your pix.

yes, you can. you can get the same look of the shots if you mess with the exposure in Photoshop

Here are a few of my new Clubman. I hope to have some more shots coming soon of the interior. I think I will do those at night so I have more control over my light.

My first attempt in photomatix

Used three bracketed exposures - -2, 0, +2
Pulled into photoshop and adjusted levels, did some layer mixing with the orignal and finished with a touch of lucisart plugin.

everytimeidie - Would you be willing to share a bit more of your post proccesing technique? I really like the look of all your images. The non-MINI shots are exceptionally awesome!

I usually have the gamma set pretty low, the black high, and the white, well I have that set to however makes it look best generally and I love your wheels by the way, I always wanted a set of Ultraleggeras

Thanks for the tips, I've give that a try next time. Do you typically do anything out of the ordinary with curves and/or levels in photoshop?

The ultraleggeras have been great. Saved about 11lbs per corner over the S-lites with runflats, and they've held up really well on horrible detroit roads.
