I agree!! I really like the "monochromatic-ness" of it!

Here's an "oldie" of Helio at California Speedway.
Scanned from a slide.

Whoah, I like that shallow DoF Jim!
Did you use a negative/transparency scanner? (Looks too good to be a flatbed.)

Thanks! Nothing like a long f2.8 lens shot wide open to blow out a background!
Not sure on the scanner. I used to take batches of slides to "The New Lab" in S.F. and they would scan 36 slides and burn a CD for $10.00.

This is a real oldie. Summer 1974!
Nikon FTn, 105mm 2.5 lens on Kodachrome
Vicki and I were still in High School when we met after a concert in Berkeley.
She is a very sucsessful commercial photographer based in Southern California.

Cool, how'd you light her face?
There's the obvious overhead light but the brim should be casting a shadow.
K64 or 25?
I still have my manual focus 105mm f/2.5 Nikkor!

I guess I can join in on this thread. Here is a picture I took a couple of years ago.
*Edit: I just reread the first post that said these should be recent photos. Whoops.
