2006 Fall Drive

MINI Cooper Iowa will be holding the annual fall drive on October 14th. We will be beginning our drive in Des Moines and ending up in Sioux City that evening. A block of rooms has been set aside at the Marina Inn (www.marina-inn.com or 402-494-4000) under the name MINI Cooper Iowa Motoring Club. Do you do any east from Des Moines trips? Souix City is all the way accross the state for us

This is our 4th annual event. Each year we choose a different route somewhere in Iowa.

We've toured around Cedar Rapids, Des Moines-Pella-Ottumwa, Dubuque, and now this year we are heading west.

The sad face should be a smiley face! The Loess Hills are amazing! We are going to have a great time this year. We have people from Iowa City and Cedar Rapids joining us here in Des Moines, then we all head west.

Hope all went well. I wanted to make this but knew I had to be on call this weekend. Maybe next year. Any idea where you will be going next year?

We did have a great time. Keep an eye on our Yahoo group site for pictures.

We don't know yet where we'll be heading next year. Over drinks last night we were all brainstorming some routes -- a loop around Des Moines (Boone, Winterset, Pella, etc.), or maybe a SE Iowa run to the Keokuk then up the river.

Normally we don't start seriously talking about it until the summer.

I will try to keep you folks informed of anything going on here in NE. Currnetly working on events for the opening of the MINI dealership in Omaha in early 2007. Any of you interested let me know.
