Fantasy in Lights
Greetings all,
We were contacted by a member of our sister club in Columbus, GA (Chris of Fountain MINIs), regarding a combined event at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA. The event, called Fantasy in Lights, is a huge drive through Christmas light display set-up on the Callaway Gardens grounds. It will be 15 Dec, from 6:00 PM- 7:00 PM. Cost is $22/each adult, $11/each child 6-11 yrs, with children 5 yrs and under free. It is well worth it if you have never attended this before. There is also a "Christmas Village" where Christmas items can be purchased.
Jennifer and I (plus the hoarde of 2) will drive to Warm Springs on 14 Dec and stay the night at the Hotel Warm Springs. They still have rooms available. We got a package with 2 queen beds plus evening refreshments and breakfast for $145/night. This is a historic hotel that FDR had stayed at many moons ago. All furnishings are from thearly 1900s. The town of Warm Springs has a lot of good shops and is fun to browse through them...or shop in.
This will be something we can discuss further at the Dec 2012 meeting (5:00 PM on 01 Dec 12 at the Panera Bread on Tom Hill Sr. Blvd in Macon).
