Everyone has been so kind as to inquire about my car's clutch condition.
So here is the result.

I was not able to get to East Bay MINI this past Monday due to the fact that my departmental co-workers wife is pregnant and overdue.
He was freaking out over the idea that I would be gone leaving himon his own with his wife ready to pop at any minute

I drove up to East Bay this morning, Saturday. As a matter of fact I got home an hour ago.

Side bar; I was sitting and waiting, when who should pull in? Lee & Monica!
They send their regards.

It turned out to be the 'slave cylinder'. Great job TECH
They have ordered it. The car will be repaired by next Wednesday. :impatient

In the mean time I have an all Chilli Red 2006 MCA loaner.
He ran very well all the way home out 580 down 5 across 152 and down 99.
I miss my MCS but am very happy with the fact I have a MINI to Drive and not a FORD TAURUS FROM AVIS!

I came home to a package on my doorstep, the damper.
It is postmarked July 11th. It figures that my car is not here to install it.
So next weekend I'll do the install, cutting it too close for Monerey

Oh, I got my MTTS goody bag Thursday. COOL STUFF

I was ready for a fight if they did

There is no way they could blame a bad slave cylinder on me.
They try to 'PREPARE' you by telling you that if they determine that the clutch is 'BLOWN', that you can be held responsible.
Yeah Like I RIDE THE CLUTCH!!!!!!

No me & the guy up there that runs the service Dept have become Friends and he takes care of things quickly for me as best he can.

 

Cool. I heard they were prutty good over there... I need to see how the one in detroit is... If they aren;t good, I might have to drive all the way to classic...

 

Glad to hear your car is being repaired and they didn't give you a run-around. It is comforting to hear they gave you a MINI as a loaner opposed to a the Corolla they issued me when my car wasn't yet ready for delivery.

Shows that you are a nice guy that you put your co-workers overdue baby in front of your ailing baby.

I'll be heading back to Fresno from Santa Babara.

We were very glad to see Robert at the dealership, as after reading about his clutch on the run last week, I had a funny feeling he would be there. Now he is driving one SEXY Cooper! Thanks for the water and pit stop, Rob!!

I was just as shocked to see it.
Then I realized my mistake in my post. I said it was Chilli Red.

Yes I will inquire it it will be for sale in the future. The poor guy is pretty bare boned. He would need lots of Mods from the MINI SHOP guys we all know.
