Lee Vining Run: October 17th!
Lee Vining Run: October 17th!
Hey everyone
,
I wanted to get your input on the date for this run. I have had a few people say that they will not be able to make this run due to the date. If you could please reply and let me know if one of the suggested dates below will work better for you (if you are interested in this run). The suggested dates are Oct. 3, Oct. 17, or Oct. 24. We will go with the date that the majority of the group picks. Thank you all for the help
Schedule for that day!
The Fresno meeting location will be at the Starbuck's at Shaw just east of 41 at 7am. (Shelly has Volunteered to lead). We will leave there by 7:30 am so we can caravan to the meeting location in Oakhurst about 8:00-8:15. The Oakhurst meeting location is Raley’s Parking lot on the corner of HWY 41 & HWY 49. Then we will head back onto 41 and on to and through Yosemite. There is a $20 entry fee to the park. We will go over Tioga pass and into the town of Lee Vining & the Famous "Whoa Nellie Deli"! We will arrive around 12:00-1:00 depending on traffic, and how many stops we make. It is about a 3 ½ to 4 hours drive one way. It is very worth the drive though.
Thank you all!

Either the 17th or the 24th works for Kiki and Bitzie. Actually better for Bitzie as she ended up having to go to Las Vegas on the 3rd for a computer geek fest.
We were thinking the 17th only because who knows when Fall will come (if ever) and the pass might close.
If that happens would we just go to the Valley or call the run off completely? If the run stays on the 3rd, Kiki is still a go but not Bitzie.
Thanks for coordinating Tina/Eeyore.

Hey Everyone,
I hope all of you are ready! Only nine more days. Keep a close eye on the weather. I know Tuesday and Wednesday they are expecting snow down to 8000 feet. Please keep me up dated with any news. Also it looks like according to everyone who said this date would work for them, we should have about 10 cars. Please reply and let me know if you will not be able to make the run.
Thanks for everything,
Tina

Hey All,
When I was watching the news this morning I saw that they are expecting 2 feet of snow
in the high county at minimum. So I wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions for a run this weekend? If Tioga is closed. Do we want to make a drive to Yosemite and have lunch up there or would we like to do something else. Please let me know if any of you have any suggestions!
