Aw "Cooper" the Chaweenie is a doll. Looks so tiny. As for the lemon, it looked really good and it was probably like my 79 Triumph Spitfire, it spent more time at the dealership than on the road. My Dad use to say that what I really needed as a second car to go along with "Spittie" was a tow truck!

Suzie and I are in for two cars and three people. Samantha had a choice car wash or going on a run. Wisely she decided the run would be more fun. Coffee did someone say coffee

Change of plans for the south valley were leaving our cheerleader daughter to wash cars she is working on her team building and fund raising events. We may end up just bringing one car but John and Suzie will be there. After all were meeting at Starbucks

Trying to gauge the drive time from Modesto to meet up in Mariposa. What time do you expect to hit Mariposa? 9:30ish?

I'd say closer to 10:00 if we leave on time from Fresno.

trip

Hey Joe and Jill. Sorry you won't be coming. I was hoping to see you guys and talk more about my club I am trying to start. But it will be great to see Janet's new car and see the rest of the group from the Santa Cruz weekend. I will clearly meet a few new MIDCAL's and I am looking forward to that. Take care until next time! --Stacy

We'll leave Starbuck's at 8:30 AM and stop in Oakhurst at the Raley's parking lot to meet others. We'll then head out 49 to Jamestown. Jamestown is approximately 124 miles from Fresno and the estimated time for this run is about 2 1/2 hours one way. Once we arrive, we can have lunch and then stroll around main street to see the sights. We will plan on having lunch at Willow Steakhouse unless there are some other suggestions for a place to eat.

Willow Steakhouse
18275 Main St.
Jamestown, CA 95327
209-984-3998

Hope to see everyone there!
Shelly
An update to the original post.
Seeing we have a large group(26-30 people) Willow's has made a special menu for us. We have a choice of four different dishes. This will be the choice of the menu:

Shrimp Louie
Chicken Pacata
Prime Rib Dip
Bacon Cheese Burger
All dishes are $9.95 an will come with sides of either french fries, potatoe salad or a green salad. There will also be an 18% gratuity. I hope this menu selection will cover everyone's appetite.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday. Shelly
P.S. Don't forget to bring your radios. Happy Motoring!

Don't know if we'll be able to make the run to Jamestown, but plan on meeting there for lunch and doing the return drive--at least to Mariposa.

Jamestown trip

Hello everyone: thanks again for allowing me to fit into your group. I had a nice time at lunch and I hope everyone got home safely. It's funny how lonely you feel all alone on the road when you are not in a MINI line. It was great to see your new car Janet and I love being around everyone who loves the car as much as I do. See you guys next time you plan a run. --Lodi Stacy

Just a quick little slide show of our run. I haven't figured out how to add music yet however. Oh well, first attempt. Thank you Shelly, Nick and Steve. It was a great run and we had a blast. I put MINI straight to bed after her run. Bath will come tomorrow. She did make one stop on the way home however. It wasn't Starbucks, but rather Foster Freeze! Oh how she loves her ice cream.

Bitzie also helped me install my "Memory windchime". For special events, I buy a wind chime or a teapot to remind me of the great time I had whenever I look at it. The Cooper tea kettle/windchime is a cool reminder of my first MINI run. This one was just perfect!

Thanks again to all for a truly super time.

Whoops, I did not get the picture of the tea kettle/windchime posted. My first run souvenir. I know, junk to some is a special memory to others.....

I love it and that's what counts! I will think of my first run everytime I see it.

Oh I almost forgot, Shelly and Nick, thank you for letting us borrow your radio. When we got home we were able to use it to figure out why we could not get our radios work. By using your's we could keep testing until we found the correct settings! Yea. Both of ours work now. We will bring your's back to you on Friday.

Oh and I can now back up into the parking stall with the rest of the MINI's rather than always presenting my back side, ha ha!

Thank you to Steve and Shelly for organizing the run, setting up the lunch, and going on the Sierra Railroad. It was nice to see and meet everyone from many different parts of the valley. I had a great day today.

See you soon,
Kevin
