Yea i would love to build a 200 + HP car and have it look and sound like a stock MINI.

 

Good luck! Is that at the wheels? A pulley is going to give you away even if you really push it. You might get away with it with a JCW intake and exhaust, but why limit yourself?

Looks good, but the interior sucks. I'd like to see it in person, but I doubt I will anytime soon. I think I will still only do the back half since I probably won't ever have to time to really get into tracking. I am still toying with stripping the XR4Ti and turning it into a track-only car, but it's not a MINI.

As for the XR4, you should do it. Since it would be near impossible to find OEM parts to restore it, stripping it and turning it into a dedicated track car would be cool. I'd imagine it is rather light as well.

I may be getting my sparco fighter sooner than planned, so I might have to hold off on that PSRS till next month. I will let you know when I get back in town.

 

We made it back with no problem.

 

The owner of the new Cosworth was as excited as a kid at Christmas. We also stopped at MINI of Mountain View and checked out the 2007. It looks a lot better in person than in the pictures. We didn't get to test drive, but it was worth a look, anyway.

Just had a pretty major "hail" storm blow through....Lawn/streets sidewalks pretty white..about the size of a pea, thunder, the whole 9 yards....pretty cool, having a "cocktail" in the nice cozy living room...Steve going to sleep at the shop??
I'll be at EB MINI tomorrow for some minor warranty issues....just may have to do a test drive....will have to see!!

Tonight, My plane leaves tomorrow at 7:25PM so I wont have time tomorrow.

 

Poor guy I was just out at the Job Site and its 85 and Sunny.

 

I will be at Brad's tonight and probably tomorrow night after Casa Corona. The shop is always an option and I do keep a bag here just in case. I still haven't wired the 220v circuit for the UPS to keep the websites and e-mail up so I may have to be near in a storm. Lazy, low-down, slacker.
