Attention Mid-Ohio Members! 2007 Dublin St. Patrick's Day Parade!
Does anyone know how many MINIs are joining us?
Have fun guys. I hope someone takes pictures.
I can only imagine what Matt's car will look like with a bunch of LED shamrocks all over it.
Jeff, you are bringing the Royal Grey aren't you?
I'll be in Kentucky driving over hill & dale.

The parade was really fun. The enthusiasm of the crowd for the MINIs was fantastic! We heard one guy say, "Your group of MINIs is way more fun than that group that ran with tops up and windows up." I wonder who he was talking about. On our way back to Dayton, we saw many trucks that had inches of ice and crud they were dropping....it must have been snowing more in places North and East of Columbus.
Hope all have made their way home safely!

That was a fantastic time yesterday! Too bad the poor driving conditions in the morning scared a lot of MINIs away, though. Even though there were only 4 of us in the parade, we still made our presence known [lining up 3 MINIs...orange, green and white abreast of each other...to represent the Irish flag], and as Paul said, it seems as if the crowd really was impressed by us. Hopefully, next year's parade will be a warmer and sunnier one, but, actually, just being in this one and having such an enthusiastic crowd along the parade route made everything worth the effort.
Way to go, Matt, for organizing this! See ya next year!

Matt's not pulling the wagon??? Ohhhh...you mean the DOG can't sit in the wagon this time, either?
Here you are Matt.

For $120 it's pretty cheap track time.
Better read the rules & see if convertibles are allowed.
Nelson is a very fun track.
I've raced there many times in the past. We should pick a date that works for all of us & have a go.

All it says specific to convertables is:
"All open cars and convertibles must have a roll bar, reinforced factory rollover protection; similar to a Porsche Boxter or BMW M3."
I should be OK I think - the MINI does have rollover protection on the rear seats.

It's not that - I'm VERY interested actually... I'm juggling finances... My pulley is going to evaporate my "fun money" and I want to be sure I can cover it before committing other folks to somethign that costs money. I'm also still working on Kara - if I can ger HER interested then we can use the "shared money". So far, no luck.
I keep telling her that YOUR wife like driving fast, Chuck, but she still seems convinced that this is a "guy thing".

Definitely a guy & a girl thing. Tell Kara fast women are damned sexy.
My wife has held a SCCA Pro Rally license & an SCCA national competition license. Heck she even holds our marriage license.
I understand what you are saying about money. Only so much to go around. A pulley isn't a bad way to spend some.

Nelson sounds good. I love to autoX except there isn't enough seat time for my taste.
Kara will love it once she drives the Dragon or a track or AutoXs...it is addictive. My husband says he never thought he'd see me turn into a "gear head".
Me either....it is my MINI's fault.
