Friday was work on MINI's day at the Vine Street garage. After a morning of cleaning & fettling my MINI I decided to call Tom & see if he wanted me to do his installs I've been putting off for him.

All was going well, but the R56 seems like it is clipped together like one of those model kits for ages 5 & under. No tools needed. You just need to know the secret handshake to get the invisible clips & tabs apart. First call was to Mark who filled me in on the center brake light disassembly. OK now just grunt & pull? Are you sure Mark? Popped right off. Thanks Mark! Installed the 3rd brake light pulser.

Then it was on to the grill. Holey cow, no fasteners to be seen. Called Mark, but he was out so I went with my plan B. Yep called Aaron, but got his voicemail, DOH! Not 5 minutes later Aaron calls & tells me the secret handshake for grill removal. "Pull on it & give it some love" Well OK, it came off & when back on too. Tom's MINI is now sporting a new badge holder.

Aaron was on vacation sailing the ocean on the love boat when I called. As soon as he hit the beach he stopped looking at the women & called me. Now that is some service Mr. Outmotoring!
