Ok guys and gals I am some what new on here and I stumbled across this part of the site, Mid-ohio. There are a few things that I wanted to talk about on this post. First about how I got into my Mini. My father worked on my god mother and god fathers VW race team when I was real young which got me around cars which I soon learned to love. He always said he would get me a GTI and I had one for a while (actually it was just a 2.0 Golf but close enough) its on my intro page with pictures. He also had I believe it was a 67 Mini Cooper kind of a burgandy color. Thats what drew my 03 to his attention because he sold it a while back to a race team called Holiday Canopys *SP* That is where my first question comes into play. ARE YOU ON HERE? If so I would love to talk to you about that car.

Next, are there any members on here that are in the Mansfield area? I live about 5 minutes away from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. I would love it if during the race season, Im at just about every race, we could meet as a group and have a certain parking area, as long as its open. I think it would be really cool to do that.

Welcome to the site, Vince! Yes, we are alive and well here...this "club" has most members in the Columbus area, but I am in Piqua and there are others who drift in occasionally from the Cleveland, Dayton and Toledo areas.

A few of us have joined BMW CCA and participate at Mid-Ohio in the HPDEs in late August and late October. And, there are members of our group who have not only the "new" MINI, but who also have Classics in their stables. These are the ones who can "talk shop" with ya, if you just want to talk Classics....

You might also contact the people at the Burning River Mini Club, as they are in Cleveland and surrounding areas.

I try to make most of the spectator races at Mid-Ohio. I usually go on Friday. I always park in the back by the esses near the pedestrian bridge that crosses the track. See you there next year.
