Well, my dog sitter was using my Outback whilst I'm still leisurely enjoying the tropics... and had a bumper bender.... on an unauthorized little trip.. more than to and from her apartment and my house.

So, she says she was not at fault but didn't get an accident report or the name of a witness. She got an estimate -- $650 for a new bumper. The guy who hit her is seeing that she has no proof of his fault.. so.

My question is does anyone know of any good salvage sources? The Outback is an 03. And know of any body who could hang a bumper for cheap? The dog sitter will pay, but is a post grad student!

Personally I would just take the bumper off and buy a brush gard for the Outback then get some of that camo sticker stuff and cover the body in that, then move to the country!

 

Search on car-part.com it searches yards nationwide ... You MIGHT get lucky and find the correct color for yours and simple job to unbolt the old and install the new

 

Sounds like the guy who hit my car will pay up via insurance. Now that I'm back and have seen the damage, it's just the bumper cover and should be an easy fix!!
